Split Payment Details

The Split Payment functionality allows you to easily and automatically distribute the amount received from an order among your partners, service providers, or merchants.

This feature is available only in GEL and for the following online payment methods:

  • card
  • google_pay
  • apple_pay
  • bog_loyalty
  • bog_p2p

If a customer pays for the order using any other method, the full amount will be credited to the main settlement account, and the split will not be executed.

A single order amount can be split into a maximum of 10 parts.

Conditions for Successful Execution:

  • The Split Payment functionality must be activated for the shop.
  • The shop’s main settlement account must have a sufficient balance to cover all transfers and associated fees.
  • The IBAN accounts provided must be active, belong to a local bank, and be denominated in the national currency (GEL).
  • The order must be paid for using one of the supported payment methods listed above.

If any of these conditions are not met, the entire split payment operation will fail, and no transfers will be executed.

Pre-authorization Capture

When capturing a pre-authorized payment, a split object can be included in the request to split the captured amount.

Important: If a pre-authorization is only partially captured and the split is defined by fixed amounts (amount), the sum of the amounts specified in the split_payments objects must not exceed the capture amount.

Pre-authorization Cancellation

No additional actions are required when canceling (voiding) a pre-authorization. When the main transaction is canceled, the associated split payment request is also automatically canceled and its status will change to canceled.

Payment Refund

A full or partial refund of an order does not affect an already completed or in-progress split payment request. The split operation is not reversed, and the transferred funds are not returned.
